Washington and Lee Boys Lacrosse Camp

Instructional Lacrosse Camps have been offered on the Washington and Lee campus for more than two decades. We have a strong tradition of excellent and a proven track record. Our instructional lacrosse camps offer a fun, safe, quality learning experience to boys ages 8-18. Emphasis is on fundamental skill development in individual, group, and team team based learning environments. Enrollment is limited to only 160 overnight campers. Camper to Counselor Ratio is 7:1




The Shooting Skills Academy


This unique camp offers advanced instruction in the fundamentals of shooting. 
 
Instruction focuses on the following skills:
  • proper shooting mechanics
  • shooting on the run
  • catching and finishing inside
  • perimeter shooting
  • setting up your shot on the
    • Inside play
    • Off a dodge
    • On the perimeter
  • cuts, picks and screens
  • shot placement & accuracy

The morning and afternoon sessions are dedicated to the development and mastery of shooting. Each camper will shoot the ball an average of 200 times a day.

 

The evening sessions offer the unique opportunity to work against campers from the Defense Only camp held concurrently with the Shooting Skills Academy on the campus of Washington and Lee University. All campers receive instruction from experienced coaches and college players. Enrollment is limited to 75 overnight campers. Camper to Counselor ratio is 7:1
